Healthy Pesto Recipe With Our #WCW: Lyndsay Braswell

Imagine having a nutritious, ready made, paleo or vegan meal waiting for you at the gym right after you finish a workout. Wouldn’t life be grand? Lyndsay Braswell has made this dream a reality at Core Fitness in Myrtle Beach, SC.

With her background in exercise sports science at Elon University, she uses her in depth knowledge of health and wellness to introduce a cleaner way of living in the Myrtle Beach community.

Born and raised as a Myrtle native, I am so thankful to come home to these ready made, yummy, meals and couldn’t get enough of Lyndsay’s passion for a healthy lifestyle. Love is a real ingredient. Of course, as a fellow veggie lover, I had to pick her brain a little and share her greatness with all of you!

Lyndsay is known for her anti-aging, body healing, meals featuring fresh zucchini noodles and her very own healthy spin to taco Tuesday, with her signature ‘hardbody cheese’. She is a huge fan of maintaining a raw diet whenever possible and living an all natural lifestyle. Can you say real life #WCW?

As most foodies know, a raw diet is consuming food in its natural state. Raw meals are unrefined, whole, and plant-based. For an example, it would include nuts, seeds, fruits, vegetables, and leafy greens. Lyndsay utilizes raw fundamentals to the fullest as she shared with me her favorite Ironman Pesto recipe that is high in iron and perfect for muscle recovery.

Lyndsay Braswell’s Ironman Pesto:

  • 3/4 cup Raw pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup Hemp seeds
  • 1/4 tsp (NutraCouture) Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp Sea salt
  • 4 tbsp-6 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup basil or parsley

 

Lyndsay is also working on a cookbook so that others who aren’t in the Myrtle Beach community can still get a taste of her healthy dishes. Stay tuned and in the mean time get busy with her delicious raw Iron Man Pesto!
