5 Ways To Have Clear Summer Skin

To all exercise addicts, you understand my pain when I say that it is not easy to keep your skin clear once you get into a sweaty routine. If I do not sweat everyday, I am not a sane human. Crazy? Mentally ill? Maybe a little.

For those of you crazy folk who love sweat as much as I do, I give you some of my favorite skin care tips and tricks. From my nightly habits to my post gym routine, I am very particular about what I use on my skin. After years of trial and error I have finally found what works for my skin while in the heat and super sweaty. 


1. Invest in a good toner.

I always keep some type of toner in my gym bag to use when I am done working out. Cleansing right after my worker prevents future breakouts from even happening, plus it is super refreshing! For a less expensive route, I like Botanics and it is 100% organic. I have also been using a Phytomer cleanser for about a year now and it travels everywhere with me.

2. Stay Hydrated.

Staying hydrated is crucial! Drinking lots of water does wonders for your body on the inside and outside. During the summer it is still hard to keep from skin from drying out with all the sun exposure I get on a daily basis. I use a Skin Ceuticals Hydrating B5 Masque to keep my skin feeling and looking refreshed year round. I put it on at night and by morning my skin is glowing.

3. Exfoliate.

Dead skin is natural, but letting it build up over time certainly is not! Exfoliating at least once a week gets rid of the dead skin that over time can cause breakouts. Especially if you workout on a daily basis, like myself! I use a Phytomer Vegetal Exfoliant at least twice a week and it has worked wonders.

4. Go Natural.

Make up is notorious for clogging our pores and yet we still continue to pile it on all the time! Try going all natural a couple days a week and pretty soon, you will see that your beautiful face never even needed in the first place. For those days when you need to kick it up a notch, I have been leaning towards more natural products that let you know what you are actually putting on your skin. Lush, has a lot of make up that lists ingredients and is not tested on animals.

5. Clean Diet.

Cut the crap. Switch out burgers and beers for smoothies and quinoa. Devote 1 month to clean eating and watch your skin literally begin to glowOr as I like to call it, the vegetable glow.
